The Garden Brewery and Taproom in Zagreb continues to present carefully selected local and international artists with our 2019 program. This unique location is home to great music & craft beer, and it’s also a showcase platform for the new Adriatic Coasting agency. Music is at the core of The Garden, and following that philosophy the newest addition to The Garden’s family is Adriatic Coasting, a DJ / live booking agency and record label. Nick Colgan and Pepi, the duo that started the well liked radio show on 102.5 Yammat FM and Adriatic Coasting club nights, have now put their focus on a new project that aims to promote local, regional and international talent that fit into their vision of the Adriatic Coasting style.
Nick Colgan: “Quality music has and always will be at the heart of what The Garden is all about, so working with Pepi on this project and watching Adriatic Coasting come to life over the past two years has been an absolute pleasure and has felt like a very natural progression. With me personally, and all our Garden events, venues and of course The Garden Brewery, music is an integral element of what we are about, it’s the soul, it’s an important part of what helps distinguish us from others. Quality music & events, craft beer, great food, good people and now of course in the mix a radio show, record label and DJ agency showcasing some great talent both local and international. Watch The Garden Grow.”
The name “Adriatic Coasting” is a special musical genre. Nick and Pepi are presenting a story of music without boundaries, basically if it’s good it’s in & they are presenting timeless music that will make you feel better. They are now in the process of compiling the first album and will be releasing a vinyl record in March “Adriatic Coasting Volume 1 – A Musical Journey.” The team has already gathered some great artists, such as Abel, Danny Kane, Felver, Ilija Rudman & Dean Sunshine Smith to name a few, and aim to expand their musical family.
Aside from programming all types of different events, they are now creating playlists for the gastro world too. They have already curated three different playlists for separate areas of the Pelegrini restaurant in Šibenik. The whole story was completed with the fact that The Garden Brewery produced a special beer for them, a Pelegrini Saison, as well as a bespoke craft beer can pourer to make the experience of combining food, drink and music a complete one.
The upcoming program at The Garden Brewery in Zagreb will host an Imogen Label Night on Saturday, February 2nd, with the house connoisseurs Charles Webster and Don Carlos, joined by the label heads Ilija Rudman and Antonio Zuza. The weekend after that on Friday February 8th, the MAD Crew and Roller Boogie teams are bringing the house disco master Marcel Vogel and HrwoE on the decks. The Adriatic Coasting team is preparing a Heartbeaker Valentine with Felver & Pepi from the newly established label on Saturday February 16th. The last Saturday in the month, February 23rd, is reserved for the legendary club night Freilauf that will host the music mastermind from Belgrade, DJ Brka, and joining him will be LukadeLux a resident of Masters club and the clubnights founder Pepi.
The Garden Summer season already sounds great and Adriatic Coasting are planning to embark on a tour of the Croatian coast, combining music and also presenting The Garden craft beer.
The Garden Resort in Tisno will again play host to some of Europes top festivals, with Love International, Hospitality On The Beach, SunceBeat, Defected Croatia and Dekmantel Selectors.
After an amazing night with Defected on New Year’s Eve in Zagreb, the Adriatic Coasting team plans to set up more Defected club events in Croatia, with the first one happening this spring at The Garden Brewery.
